The rest of the combined band sit in a shared melancholy, until someone points out that early Trail Of Dead was almost as unabashedly noisy and punk as the Dead Kennedys could even have hoped to be. Jello Biafra proceeds to kick the shit out them.

Big beat electronica with better-than-average rapping over it. Redman shows up too, but no-one quite knows why.

Ambient hip hop, with a lo-fi feel, and some remarkably disturbing songs which include a lot of repetition and screaming.

Explosions in the Skyclad
Folk metal, with a tendency for emotive builds and delicate harmonies. The ensuing commotion is, if not anything else, lengthy and hard to listen to.

Screamo with no screams, but plenty of 'oh'.

Regina Spektortoise
The quirky songstress brings her idiosyncratic stylings to the boil, in a jazz-influenced art rock pan. The end result is delicious, but will not serve everyone.

Sparklehorse (The Band)
Subtle acoustic elements and lo-fi production grapple for space with in-your-face Nintendo-esque synth and pizza-related lyrics.
