hey, why are we talking about this in the films thread, as opposed to the none-used TV section?

Yesterday i watched 3 films.

Here are my verdicts:
Toy Story 3D: Amazing. Seriously the film has matured like a fine wine and deserves its place as one of the greats of cinema. It was cool to see it as an adult and appreciate it for the funnies and incredible film making.

Hidden (Cache): My second Michael Haneke film following Funny Games. So i went in expecting long cuts, superb acting and scenes of horrific violence punctuated with horrible reactions. I got all this and an awesome plot. It may be better than Funny Games but a lot harder to understand. I will need to watch it a lot more to fully appreciate it I feel.

The Last House on The Left (uncut): A very effective 70s slasher flick with some well executed laughs to lighten the incredibly depressive mood. My only criticism is the score, which was really bizarre and annoying with electronic sounds and bloops which was very distracting particularly during a scene in which one of the heroines gets brutally stabbed and it's punctuated with Tetris noises. Although the original songs composed for the film where excellent and really added to the atmosphere and plot of the film.

Maybe i should write a film blog (nah!!!!!).

Oho! In the mood for stealing analogies from Lee are we, Blandrews?

I fully back this.

I mean, as long as you don't steal all my analogies.

Im gonna go Coens. But at the same time Zombieland put me in the mood for zombies. What we need is a Coens film with zombies.

Miller's Crossing was tres bien.

Today i watched Night of The Living Dead and Hostel Part I. One of them was good but very dated the other one was average and very implausible. I will not however say which. tongue

Hostel Part II much better than Part I?

Its more likely than i thought. Mainly because you cared about the characters because they weren't really creepy sex tourists. And the torturers had character and felt human as opposed to just bringers of gore. I was pleasantly surprised with it infact.

Is now gonna watch the shit out of Wanted.

Let me know how good/crap Wanted is.

I have recently watched Pirates of the Carribean 1 & 2, going to watch the 3rd tomorrow.
But seriously, the first one rocks...the 2nd one isn't so good...
I've only ever seen 2 & 3 about once each.

I maybe need to rewatch the trilogy as i remember very little.

Wanted was really good. Had some of the best action i've ever seen and a pretty good plot to hold it all together. Plus it had Morgan Freeman which is auto-win. I regret not seeing it at the cinema.

I want Blandrews to write a film blog........

Recently I have watched 300 and Coraline again. They are both amazing. I also now own War, Inc., which is also amazing and I love a million times.

Coraline is fantastic like I remember it, but I kind of miss the suspense of the first viewing.
